PRODUCT INFORMATION

Each sheet is a thin layer of icing, white in colour which is fixed to a plastic backing sheet. Once peeled away from the backing sheet the icing is extremely pliable and manageable without cracking or tearing. Please note that the toppers are NOT pre-cut.

Please note:

  • Your icing sheet will last 6 months if not opened, stored in a cool and dry location, but I advise to use it within 3 months of purchase date.

  • Watermark will be removed for printing

  • Plastic backing is not edible and must be removed prior to application

  • I always strive for accuracy; however, images may appear slightly different and not as bright as displayed on your screen, as the screen you are viewing on is lit and edible inks are not as vibrant as regular inks

  • Water and humidity are NOT a friend of edible icing sheets – they will cause the ink to run. Therefore, do not store in the fridge or freezer

  • Do not bend or fold

INSTRUCTIONS/ APPLICATION

How to use the Icing Sheet

An instruction leaflet will be provided with your order to help you achieve the best results, but I have also included these below.

 

Store flat, in the resealable plastic bag provided, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight (18-20 deg. C) until ready to use. If stored in this way the icing sheet will last up to 6 months (providing the best before date is within this timescale).

 

Carefully remove the plastic backing sheet before cutting out with dry, clean, sharp scissors.

 

When cut, apply the topper to the cake (or any other creation) using a small amount of water, edible glue or a bit of buttercream and gently press it down onto your cake.

If you are using the icing sheet as a cake wrap, please ensure the surface of your cake is smooth. You will not need to cover your cake in sugarpaste, if you are using ganache, as the cake wrap can be applied directly. However, if you are using buttercream as a crumb-coat I would advise using sugarpaste for a smooth finish and to avoid moisture seeping through. To place the design onto the cake, you could use greaseproof paper to prevent smudging the print and then slowly smooth from the centre of the sheet to the edges.

 

How to Create Cupcake Toppers

If you wish to back the images to sugarpaste for stability, especially for use on top of cupcakes, please follow the below instructions.

 

This will need to be done around 3 days prior to your event in order to set fully (you could use modelling paste if you need these to set sooner than 3 days).

Edible Ink Ingredients:

 

Contains; Water, solubiliser (E1520), humectant (E422), acidifier (E330), preservative (E202), food colours (E151, E110*, E102*, E133, E122*)

 

*May have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

 

Allergen Advice:

All icing sheets are free from nuts, gluten and are kosher certified. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians. However, they may contain traces of peanuts, nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, pistachio), egg, milk (lactose) and soy. Icing sheets are created in an environment where all allergens are present.

I aim to send out icing sheet orders within 3-5 working days of payment. Delivery is made via Royal Mail and you can choose your shipping method at checkout.

Your icing sheet will be packaged in a resealable plastic bag, that will help your topper to stay fresher for longer. To avoid any damages I ship all my icing sheets in a cardboard backed "Please Do Not Bend" A4 (C4) envelope.

 

Please ensure you order in enough time before your occasion!
